Classes Offered:Basics of Robotics: Robot Safety, Work Envelopes, Capabilities, Types of Robots, Basic Robot Integration with ancillary systems. This class is a prerequisite for any other robotics classes. Basic Robotic Programming: Introduction to the KUKA robotics Language (KRL): Students will program a large industrial robot to perform a series of simple tasks using the teaching pendant. This class is geared for the level of knowledge that would typically be required for an end user. Intermediate Robotic Programming: Robotics for Industry, Unser level programming in the KRL. Students will learn how to teach the robot using the pendant as well as software programming. Students will learn the different coordinate systems and how they relate to the robot. This class is geared to the level of knowledge required for a typical robotics production line manager. Advanced Robotics Programming: Expert level programming in the KRL: This class is geared towards the level of knowledge and skills that would be required of a basic robotics technician in an industrial environment. Basic Robotics Design and Construction: Students build small individual working robots from a kit and learn fundamentals of motion control design.
